“Record and soothe depression with a soft robot”
Fufu’s diary is program aimed at helping the depression patients, especially in the situation thatCOVID-19 pandemic is separating people physically, making it harder to get offline treatment.
Fufu contains both Online And Offline (OAO) product, all the way to an integrated service system. Here we present fufu’s diary, in a very story-telling way.

Problem
Originally, China has a very high proportion of depression patient (around 6.8%). However, the pandemic has doubled the number. With quarantine making people more anxious, it’s getting harder to cure depressions during the specific phase of history.

HMW: How might we create a new way for depression patients, to track their mental health situation with respect to their privacy , and heal them?
Ideation
At this stage, we use quick generate groups of ideas and filter out some to do further experiment and low-fidelity prototype.
What we choose is an app and device to provide non-invasive emotion recording for people in depression.
Design Concept
“Fufu” is conceptualized as a wearable companion, able to record behavioral and emotional data of users.
These data will be available for medicals. When giving a diagnosis, data in Fufu’s memory stick will provide essential value.
